Garry Grogan, Ecocem Group .

 

Garry is Deputy Finance Director of the Ecocem Group. Ecocem is a rapidly growing, privately owned multinational which manufacturesand promotes environmentally friendly cement. Established in 2001, it currently has production plants in Ireland, Netherlands and France and had  a turnover of €40m in 2011.

Garry is a proven, successful, top-level finance manager with excellent business development and control experience. As Finance Director for Veolia Transport Asia Pacific he developed and managed the financial control, budgeting, forecasting, planning and reporting processes during a period 5 fold growth to €100m.

Identifying business risk and opportunities and working with non-financial managers to improve performance has been a key part of his success. While senior finance manager with Diageo, during a period of poor sales, he worked with a Regional Director and delivered a 20% reduction in labour costs without recourse to redundancy or damage to the business operating capacity.

Membership is open to those who perform some or all of the duties of a senior financial executive at an acceptable level of responsibility (usually the Chief Financial Officer).While there is no company membership, we welcome individual memberships from corporates. The number of members is decided by the Council of the Association each year subject to an overall limit of 100 (excluding Associate Members).
